Austin Fashion Week

Last week I attended the Austin Fashion Week for the third year in a row.  While it has gotten better with each year, I must admit that it doesn't necessarily satisfy my fashion fix.  Hence the expression of myself and my two friends in the front row shot below.  Ha!  That being said, it is a thoroughly entertaining event that I love dressing up for.  Check out these mix of shots collected both from do512 and my friend, Natalie, below.  Hooray for Fashion!

A Day at The Races

With the Kentucky Derby only a week away I have been getting so excited about my outfit for the festivities.  For you South Austinites, you should enjoy the fancy fun next weekend at The Highball on S Lamar.  I will be in Houston for the weekend rockin this hat below (and lovin the little derby nod with my horseshoe necklace).  Can't wait!

Round Up Ready!

This weekend was the fantastic Lone Star Round Up and I thoroughly enjoyed dressing for the festivities.

Calvin Klein dress, gifted belt from Trash and Garnish, and the shoes were a wonderful thrift find.

Can't wait to share pics from the amazing photo shoot I was part of yesterday.  I've seen a few and I'm so excited to see the finished product.  The creative juices were flowing at that shoot and I've been so inspired since.  Here's to a wonderful Tuesday!

Suspenders... not just for Larry King.

Take notes ladies, because this is how to rock suspenders.  With a statement accessory like this you don't need much else to make the look complete.  Thanks for the shots Malorie; you are too cute for words!

Rainy Day

As much as I love Malorie, I'm completely jealous that she got to spend some time in the rain.  My beautiful friend no longer lives in Austin, and even though I miss her terribly, I'm happy knowing that she's taking PA by storm.  Malorie, in my opinion, has always been someone that pulls off the effortless style better than the rest of us.  Even her umbrella is adorable.  <3

Heat Wave

My favorite summer staple item in Austin is by far the sundress.  Getting ready for the day is so easy!  My girlfriends would be happy to know I was ready to go today in only 10 minutes... threw on the dress and sandals, a little sunscreen, a few feathers in the hair,  and just a touch of silver jewelry for some shine.  Simple, clean, and just right for a day outside in this heat.

  

Bombshell on a Break

My beautiful friend, Bonnie, is one of my most favorite people to look at.  When I picked her up last night I was smitten with every detail about her as she just stood in her driveway.  Although the lighting was horrible, I actually like the way it made her shine.  Which she does everyday regardless of the light!
